Customizing Striped Fabric Tutorial

For my current work in progress Fizzarolli(Helluva Boss) I needed a specific striped fabric. I know that there were a couple options I could choose from to get the stripes i wanted. These options ranging from sewing or gluing ribbon onto a base fabric, buying a custom printed fabric specially made, or cutting strips of fabric and sewing them together. While each option is valid and can be a good way to show technique they each have flaws. Ribbon would look a little tacky, custom print is expensive, and stripes is times consuming. Despite it all I decided cutting strips would be my best option. For this fabric specifically I needed teal and purple stripes so I cut stripes of fabric 2.5 in wide and stitched them together alternating colors. Trust when I say this process was LONG. Measuring and cutting took a couple hours, pinning took a couple hours, and sewing took more than a couple hours Despite the tedious process, I think the end product looks extremely clean and professional.
