Cosplayer Spotlight: Spookie.jpg

This episode of my cosplayer spotlight, I will be discussing the cosplayer Spookie.jpg. Spookie is a cosplayer known for her edited content on TikTok such has her video lip-syncing to the Doki-Doki Literature Club fan song Just Monika by Random Encounters where she played all of the characters. She has been cosplaying since 2020 and it quickly became a creative outlet for her. She says that seeing Danganronpa cosplayers online inspired her into joining the fun herself. From beginnings as a simple video game Cosplayer to becoming a well known cosplay Tiktoker, Spookie found a rekindled passion for videography and film by means of Tiktok. While Tiktok has had it's highs and lows, Spookie has been able to amass almost 190 thousand followers over her five years on the platform.
Creating Tiktoks has its ups and downs. It definitely reignited my passion for film and videography to the point where I'm editing at least one video a day. It also helped me feel more creative and motivates me to get a ton of projects done in other mediums. It definitely can be draining though, having to constantly make content, keep up with trends, and recently fight with the Tiktok algorithm.
Spookie considered cosplay as an escape from everyday stressors and a place to be herself. Her account has become a place for fans to come together and enjoy and talk about pop culture together. Spookie believes that cosplay has changed her life in a positive way. She has more motivated, more confident, and has met people she considers her best friends because of it.
As someone who has interacted with Spookie personally, I find her to be an amazing, creative and uplifting spirit. She has given me such amazing advice on content creation and actually helped me create the name Fever.Dream.Cosplay. Please click the button below and and support her and her creation!
